More information about the X-Yacht X-99
The Dutch X-99 “Wavetrain” (NED 4129) from 1989 (first owner!) is in very good condition and has always been maintained with great care. Since the last World Championship in the Netherlands, about 18 years ago, it has not been raced. It concerns the so-called “White Lady” version, with a white interior (see photos).
After the World Championship the boat was fitted with a new mast and boom. In the autumn of 2011 a nearly new Bukh engine was installed (invoice available). Furthermore the boat is equipped with windows in the cockpit, autopilot, GPS, extra strong 2-speed Meissner selftailing winches (also for the backstays), dyform rigging, spectra halyards, new spectra backstays, spectra checkstays, spectra permanent backstay and an extensive sail wardrobe. This consists of a mainsail, two genoa's (one of which is a nearly new Vectran, only used 2 or 3 times in light air), a High Aspect, a jib 4, and a new class spinnaker (specially made in Copenhagen) — all by North Sails.
