The familiar Polyvalk Classic is built from three separate parts, namely the hull, deck and cockpit. The Revolution, on the other hand, is built with a deck in which cockpit and fore and aft are integrated. This keeps the inside of the hull completely free of laminated parts and can therefore be executed in the famous, super stiff lightweight sandwich construction. A stiffer boat transfers the wind's propulsion energy better into the water; this is reflected in the speed and in the sailing behavior in waves. The Revolution 'cuts' through the waves more than it moves up and down over them. The result is better sailing and steering behavior.
A major advantage of this construction method is that much larger air chambers are created under the gunwale and in the fore and aft. These are so large that the buoyancy is enough to give the boat a heeling angle of 130º. This means that if you were to push the masthead one meter underwater, the boat would still right itself at a good speed and could immediately continue sailing stably.
