This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 has been in the possession of the first and only owner since her delivery in 1999, who purchased the yacht new from the Jeanneau dealer Navy blue in Dunkirk (France).
Although the original purchase invoice is no longer available, the owner is in possession of the original deed of sale and confirms that the VAT was paid correctly at the timeConfirmed by Belgian Customs.

General

Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Sun Odyssey 40 is known for its stable round-bilged hull and excellent balance between speed and comfort. With a length of 12,20 m, a beam of 3,95 m, and a draft of 1,95 m, this boat offers ample possibilities. The dual helmsman's wheels in the aft cockpit ensure safe and easy handling, while the synthetic teak (Flexteak, 2017) and cockpit table make outdoor living very comfortable.

Engine & Technology

The ship is powered by a Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine (55 hp), coupled to a propeller shaft. The engine underwent a major overhaul in 2024 at an authorized Volvo Penta dealership and is in good condition.

Interior

De three huts offer in total six fixed sleeping places and an additional sleeping area in the saloon. With a standing height of 1,95 m, the interior is comfortable and spacious. The saloon features a sitting area with a table and chart table. The interior is classically decorated with wood finishes, beige upholstery, and original cushions.

The galley is fully equipped with a 2-burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator (200 liters) and a small freezer compartment. For comfort while underway, there is an electric pressurized water system, a 40-liter boiler and heating via Webasto hot airThe sanitary facilities consist of a manual toilet, an indoor shower (hot/cold) and an outdoor shower (cold).
