Bavaria 34-2 (2002) – Seaworthy, well maintained and from first owner
Are you looking for a Bavaria 34-2 that has proven itself over the years as a reliable, comfortable and seaworthy sailing yacht? Then this Bavaria 34-2 from 2002 is definitely worth a visit. This ship comes from the first owner, who has maintained her with great care since new and has used her exclusively for private use. Thanks to the CE category A, this cruiser is designed for the open sea and has amply proven her qualities during trips to, among others, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England and Denmark.
The design of J&J Design is known for its excellent sailing characteristics, comfortable handling and practical layout. The deep fixed keel, the Seldén furling jib and furling mast system, the steering wheel and the clear aft cockpit make her suitable for both relaxed holiday trips and sporty sailing days. The rigging was renewed in 2017 and has been checked annually since then. In addition, the ship has a Lion Sails mainsail and genoa from 2014, supplemented with a little-used halfwinder.
On board you will find a warmly finished mahogany interior with two full cabins, a spacious saloon and comfortable sleeping places for four people, expandable to six. The practical galley is equipped with a gas stove with oven, an electric refrigerator and hot water via an Isotemp boiler. There is also no lack of comfort thanks to the Webasto hot air heating, indoor and outdoor shower and a generous water supply of 300 liters.
The reliable Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine (29 hp) with Saildrive is known for its solidity, comfort and low fuel consumption. The owner had annual engine maintenance carried out and the ship was stored dry and indoors every winter. The 12 mm teak deck is in a reasonably neat condition, the rubber seams of the deck need some attention.
In terms of navigation, the Bluebird is also fully equipped with, among other things, Raymarine ST60 Tridata, Raymarine ST4000 autopilot, Lowrance Elite 7 chartplotter/GPS, AIS Class B transceiver, radar, Navtex, two VHF radios and a life raft, the last inspection of which was carried out in 2024. This makes the ship immediately ready for longer coastal and offshore sailing trips.
An important plus is the extensive documentation. We have all relevant original ship documents, manuals, maintenance information and invoices. In addition, an official VAT statement from the Dutch Customs is available, which unambiguously demonstrates the VAT status of the ship.
In short, this Bavaria 34-2 combines proven quality, excellent sailing characteristics, complete equipment and an exceptionally well-maintained maintenance history. An ideal cruiser for the sailor who wants to immediately enjoy comfortable and safe trips on inland and offshore waters without major investments.
