How it works with an expert
An expert will be present during a sea trial and will check the boat for you.
During the sea trial there are three phases. The expert, together with you, the yacht broker and possibly the seller, will go through the entire boat and test everything present on the ship. A second phase is the actual sailing, during which it is checked whether the ship and engine function properly. A third phase is that the ship is taken out of the water so that the hull can be properly inspected. The expert checks for visible defects on the hull or propeller and whether the ship is damp (polyester) or whether the thickness is still good (steel ship). The phases can be held in a different order during a sea trial.
After a sea trial, the expert will prepare a comprehensive report for you, and you can confidently set off with your new ship.
