The Prima 38 is a well-maintained performance cruiser that seamlessly combines sportiness and comfort. Designed by Stephen & Jones and built by Seaquest in England, this sailing yacht is constructed of GRP vinylester and epoxy, resulting in a strong and durable construction. With a 45% ballast and an L-shaped keel with a lead bulb, the boat offers excellent stability and sailing performance.
The current owner, the second since new, has meticulously maintained the Prima 38 and fitted it with significant upgrades. For example, the yacht features a 2022 Yanmar engine, a carbon mast, and an extensive sail wardrobe. Thanks to these upgrades, the Prima 38 is suitable for both small-crew cruising and ORC Class 2 competitions.
For sailors looking for a technically perfect and sporty sailing yacht, the Prima 38 is definitely worth viewing.
Steering wheel The Prima 38 is in excellent condition, both technically and visually. She features a new 2022 YANMAR engine, including a new switch panel, Bowden cables and wiring harness, and a new Saildrive with a sleeving sleeve. The engine room was repainted in 2021/2022, as was the aft peak. The fuel and cooling water hoses were replaced in 2022. The GORI 3-blade propeller with overdrive function is also new (2022), and the JEFA rudder bearing was replaced in 2018.
The interior is finished in teak and offers three cabins and a head with a shower and toilet. For added comfort, six new dimmable reading lamps (12V) with USB ports have been installed in the saloon, also updated in 2022.
