More information about the Prima 38
The Prima 38 is a well-maintained performance cruiser that seamlessly combines sportiness and comfort. This sailing yacht, designed by Stephen & Jones and built by Seaquest in England, is made of GRP vinylester and Epoxy, which ensures a strong and durable construction. With a ballast percentage of 45% and an L-shaped keel with lead bulb, the boat offers excellent stability and sailing performance.
The current owner, the second since new, has carefully maintained the Prima 38 and provided it with important renewals. For example, the yacht has a Yanmar engine from 2022, a carbon mast and an extensive sail wardrobe. Thanks to these upgrades, the Prima 38 is suitable for both trips with a small crew and for use in races in the ORC Class 2.
For sailors looking for a technically perfect and sporty sailing yacht, the Prima 38 is definitely recommended to view.
Steering wheel The Prima 38 has been excellently maintained both technically and visually. She features a new YANMAR engine from 2022, including a new control panel, Bowden cables and wiring harness, and a new Saildrive with cuff. The engine room was repainted in 2021/2022, as was the aft peak. Tank hoses and cooling water hoses were renewed in 2022. The GORI 3-blade propeller with overdrive function is also new (2022) and the JEFA rudder bearing was replaced in 2018.
The interior is varnished in teak and offers three cabins and a wet cell with shower and toilet. For extra comfort, six new dimmable reading lights have been installed in the salon (12V) with USB connection, also renewed in 2022.
