This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 has been owned by the first and only owner since its delivery in 1999, who purchased the yacht new from the Jeanneau dealer Bleu Marine in Dunkirk (France).
Although the original purchase invoice is no longer available, the owner does have the original deed of delivery and confirms that the VAT was paid correctly at the time. Confirmed by Belgian Customs.

General

Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Sun Odyssey 40 is known for its stable round bilge-hull and excellent balance between speed and comfort. With a length of 12.20 m, a width of 3.95 m and a draft of 1.95 m, this ship offers ample possibilities. The double steering wheels in the aft cockpit ensure safe and easy operation, while the synthetic teak (Flexteak, 2017) and the cockpit table make spending time outdoors very comfortable.

Engine & Technology

The ship is powered by a Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine (55 hp), coupled to a propeller shaft. The engine received a major overhaul in 2024 at an authorized Volvo Penta dealership and is in good condition.

Interior

The three cabins offer a total of six fixed berths and an additional sleeping option in the salon. With a headroom of 1.95 m, the interior is comfortable and spacious. The salon features a seating area with a table and chart table. The interior is classically finished with wood trim, Beige upholstery, and original cushions.

The galley is fully equipped with a 2-burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator (200 liters), and a small freezer compartment. For comfort on the go, there is an electric pressurized water system, a 40-liter boiler, and heating via Webasto hot air. The sanitary facilities consist of a manual toilet, an indoor shower (hot/cold), and an outdoor shower (cold).
