Bavaria 42-3 for sale – comfortable sailing in style and space

Offered for sale is an excellently maintained Bavaria 42-3 Built in 2000, this spacious and stable sailing yacht offers both comfort and sailing pleasure. At 12,95 meters long and 3,95 meters wide, this yacht features a round hull that guarantees stability and seaworthiness, making it ideal for cruising the North Sea, Wadden Sea, or inland waterways.

The outer deck and cockpit are spacious. A comfortable, large steering wheel, generous seating, and a teak cockpit table invite you to relaxed sailing or enjoy convivial moments with family and friends. The yacht features a swim platform with a ladder, an electric windlass, and a 20 kg Rocna anchor with 35 meters of chain. The teak cockpit deck (2023) adds a touch of luxury, while the self-draining cockpit provides comfort and safety.

Inside, the Bavaria 42-3 offers a bright and functional layout with 200 cm of standing headroom. The saloon features a cozy sitting and dining area, three cabins with fixed berths for six people, and additional berths for four guests. The interior exudes warmth with classic wood finishes and updated yellow/brown upholstery (2022). The galley is equipped with a gas stove, oven, and electric refrigerator, and comfort is enhanced by the Webasto hot-air heating system. Two manual toilets and an interior shower make longer stays on board very comfortable, even with guests on board.

Sailing-wise, this Bavaria yacht is a delight. It features a fractional rig on an aluminum mast with rod rigging, an Elvström mainsail (2020, 43,4 m²), a 2nd genoa (2021, 56 m²), a jib (2021, 40,7 m²), and a gennaker. The Furlex 30 roller furling system and Harken manual self-tailing winches make handling easy.

The reliable Volvo Penta MD22 L diesel engine (50 hp) with Saildrive and folding propeller delivers a comfortable cruising speed of 6–7 knots. The engine has been recently serviced, including a Saildrive sleeve (2022). Electrically, the yacht is equipped with four batteries, a battery charger, a battery monitor, and shore power, allowing you to easily spend extended periods on board.

The antifouling was renewed in 2025 (self-polishing International), and the hull is free of osmosis.

This Bavaria 42-3 is the perfect sailing yacht for those seeking comfort, space, and excellent sailing characteristics. Whether you're looking for a relaxing cruise or a more sporty sailing experience, this yacht offers everything you need. Ready to hit the water and experience new adventures!
