This Beneteau First 35 from 1984, designed by Jean Berret and built by the renowned French shipyard Beneteau, is a classic sailing yacht that convincingly combines performance and comfort. With a length of 10.80 meters, a width of 3.60 meters and a draft of 1.95 meters, the ship has a balanced hull shape that guarantees both speed and stability. The displacement of 4,750 kg, of which 2,200 kg is ballast, contributes to reliable and safe sailing behavior, even under more challenging conditions.
The First 35 is known as a true cruiser-racer: fast, stable, and sharp upwind, while maintaining comfort on board. The interior offers six fixed berths, divided over three cabins, with additional options in the saloon. The classic mahogany finish combined with the blue upholstery creates a warm and well-maintained appearance. Thanks to the headroom of approximately two meters, staying on board is pleasant. The galley is practically arranged and equipped with a two-burner gas stove, a refrigerator, and a sink. Furthermore, the ship has a manual toilet and a 15-liter boiler for hot water.
The ship has been owned by the current owner since 2012 and has always been carefully maintained. The Volvo Penta 2030C 29 hp diesel engine was installed in 2017 and underwent maintenance by a specialist in 2024. The sail wardrobe is complete and includes a mainsail and genoa from De Vries (2005), supplemented with a storm jib, spinnaker, and gennaker.
In 1999, the underwater hull was preventively treated with Epoxy against osmosis. The ship is structurally maintained and is on shore every two years; the last antifouling was applied in 2024. In addition, the ship was recently inspected by a recognized expert. The accompanying inspection report is available and can be viewed on board during a viewing.
Given the age of the ship, it should be taken into account that some parts may require attention or replacement in due course. However, this is in line with what can be expected from a ship of this construction period.
The Beneteau First 35 is an excellent choice for sailors looking for a sporty, reliable and characterful yacht with proven qualities. A solid ship that is ready for new voyages and long-lasting sailing pleasure.
