Gib Sea 37 Ketch – “Philou” (1976)

De Gib Sea 37 Ketch “Philou” is a classic and seaworthy touring yacht designed by Michel JoubertThis solidly built polyester sailing yacht is known for its reliable handling, comfortable cockpit, and practical ketch rig. Thanks to the sail plan layout, the yacht is easy to trim and handle, even with a small crew.

With a length of 11,70 m and a width of 3,80 m The Philou offers a spacious and functional interior. The ship has two cabins and 5 fixed sleeping places (maximum 7) and a standing height of approximately 1,80 m in the living room. The kitchen was in Modernized in 2017 and the interior was upgraded earlier in 2002. Heating via a Eberspächer D4 makes staying on board comfortable even in the early and late season.

De Yanmar 4JH3 diesel engine (2002) yields approximately 40 hp and has approximately 1650 operating hoursMajor engine maintenance was carried out in 2021. In the same year, new Ullman Navigator Dacron sailing placed (mainsail, mizzen and genoa). The rigging is in 2022 checkedNavigation equipment includes, among other things, Raymarine instruments (depth, wind and autopilot) expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a Furuno GPS.
