The Bruijs Vlet “Samaya” is a characterful Dutch motor yacht with a timeless appearance and exceptionally solid build quality. This Bruijs Super Weekend 9.70 was built as a hull in 1972 by the renowned shipyard Bruijs Jachtbouw in Bergen op Zoom and subsequently finished by the first owner with great care and an eye for detail. The result is an atmospheric and sturdy vessel with a warm appearance thanks to the beautiful teak and mahogany work in the interior.
The “Samaya” has been within the same family since the 90s and has always been maintained with care. The ship was placed ashore every winter and received the necessary maintenance and various upgrades over the years. For instance, the instrument panel was recently renewed, a large new refrigerator was installed, and the gas line was also replaced in 2025.
With a length of 9,70 meters, a width of 3,35 meters, and a displacement of approximately 10 tons, this vlet offers exceptionally stable and comfortable handling. Thanks to the extra bilge keels with a depth of one meter, the vessel sits remarkably stable in the water and is also suitable for drying out or extended stays on board. Furthermore, the additional rudder assembly behind the propeller facilitates reverse maneuvering, while the powerful 24V bow thruster offers extra control when mooring.
The reliable DAF DA475 six-cylinder diesel engine delivers 100 hp and is known for its robust character and smooth running. With a cruising speed of approximately 10 km/h and a consumption of about 4 liters per hour, the “Samaya” is a pleasant and economical vessel for longer trips on inland waterways, rivers, and coastal waters.
Inside, the ship offers a cozy and practical layout with an open bow, dinette, galley, toilet, and a separately lockable aft cabin. Thanks to the headroom of approximately 1,90 meters, the interior feels surprisingly spacious. The warm wood finish combined with the large windows creates a classic nautical atmosphere that perfectly complements the character of the ship. With four berths, the “Samaya” is ideal for comfortable weekend trips or longer holidays on the water.
Technically, the ship is also solidly equipped with, among other things, a Victron battery charger and inverter, shore power connection, solar panels, Webasto heating, and an electric anchor winch. Furthermore, on board you will find a spacious refrigerator, television, radio, and various navigation instruments.
