Etap 28i "Patita" (1992) – Unsinkable quality yacht with excellent sailing characteristics

The Etap 28i distinguishes itself by its double-walled sandwich construction with polyurethane foam, which not only provides excellent insulation for the ship, but also makes it known as unsinkable . Thanks to the 7/8-rigging, the full-battened mainsail, the Elvström sails and all lines led to the cockpit, the ship is easy to sail solo or with a small crew. The expert assessed both the mainsail and the genoa as in good usable condition and also described the mast and rigging as neat. Furthermore, no signs of osmosis, nor moisture in the laminate were found during the technical inspection.
The current owner has invested significantly in comfort and appearance in recent years. For example, the deck was fitted with a new KiwiGrip anti-slip coatingin 2024, new interior cushions were installed, including a comfortable 16 cm thick mattress in the aft cabin, the LED lighting was renewed, the ship received a new 220V electrical panel, an extra service battery, an new shore power cable, renewed taps in the kitchen and wet cell and a renewed refrigerator. The bright saloon, the panoramic cabin window and the practical layout with a lockable aft cabin make this ship particularly suitable for family holidays or longer stays on board.
The reliable Volvo Penta MD2002 two-cylinder diesel engine (18 hp) with Saildrive has approximately 1,738 engine hours. Thanks to the combination of a solid underwater hull, CE category B, stable sailing characteristics and a clear cockpit, the Etap 28i is a popular model among both novice and experienced sailors.
For extra transparency, the ship has been independently technically inspected. The extensive inspection report is available for interested parties. In addition, there is an original purchase invoice available as proof that the VAT has been paid.
