Bavaria 40-3 sailing yacht from 2001, with three cabins, six fixed berths, and CE Category A. Well-maintained, fully equipped, and ready for new sailing adventures.

This Bavaria 40-3 “Lucky” is a spacious and comfortable sailing yacht, designed by J&J Design and built by Bavaria Yachtbau. With a length of 12,47 metres, a width of 3,96 metres and a depth of 1,65 metres This popular Bavaria model offers a nice combination of sailing characteristics, comfort, and living space. The CE design category A (Ocean) makes her suitable for long sea voyages and open water.

On board you will find a classic mahogany interior, a spacious saloon with a circular seating area and three cabins with a total of six fixed berths. The headroom is approximately 1,95 metresThe practical galley is equipped with a two-burner gas stove, oven and a Isothermal refrigerator from 2020With two toilets, an indoor shower, and an outdoor shower, the comfort on board is perfectly suited for longer stays. 

The propulsion is provided by a Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine of 29 hp with Saildrive. The engine has a cruising speed of approximately 6,5 knotsThe Saildrive boot was replaced in 2018 and the The Gori folding propeller is from 2022.The last major engine maintenance took place in 2025. The boat is also equipped with a electric bow thruster from 2014, which significantly facilitates maneuvering in ports. 

For navigation, “Lucky” features an extensive Raymarine equipment, including ST60 log, depth sounder and wind meter, a Raymarine E7 chartplotter, a Raymarine ST6001 autopilot and a Raymarine 650 AIS transponder. The VHF radio was updated in 2024 and can also be operated from the cockpit.

The Bavaria is also well-equipped for sailing. The The fully battened mainsail was renewed in 2025. and there is a 135% genoa with a Furlex roller system. Additionally, a 2024 carbon spinnaker boom is included.

The ship has been in the possession of the current owner since 2017 and has, among other things, The Netherlands, Belgium and the south-southwestern part of the United Kingdom sailed. She is on shore annually and was refitted with antifouling and new anodes in May 2026. Extensive maintenance history available with various maintenance invoices.
