Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 – comfortable sailing yacht with recent sails and rigging
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 from 2003, named Feldir, is a versatile sailing yacht that combines sailing comfort, good sailing characteristics, and practical space on board. This design by Jacques Faroux is suitable for both relaxed weekend trips and longer sailing holidays with family or friends. With her CE category A, spacious accommodation, and complete equipment, this Jeanneau is an interesting choice for sailors looking for a comfortable cabin sailing yacht.
With a length of 11.40 meters, a width of 3.70 meters, and a draft of 1.95 meters, the Sun Odyssey 37 offers a pleasant balance between space and sailing performance. The spacious aft cockpit with wheel steering is a nice place to sail underway and relax at anchor. On board, two cabins, four fixed berths, and two extra berths provide ample accommodation. The headroom varies from approximately 1.85 to 1.91 meters.
The salon features a comfortable seating area and a practical galley with a two-burner stove, oven, and electric refrigerator. Furthermore, an indoor shower, outdoor shower, hot water supply, and manual toilet are present. The Webasto hot air heating makes staying on board pleasant even during cooler days.
The propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine of 27 hp, with shaft drive. For maneuvering in harbors, the ship has an electric bow thruster. The navigation equipment includes Raymarine ST60 instruments for speed, depth, and wind, a Raymarine 6001 autopilot, GPS, and a Shipmate RS8300 VHF radio.
Attention has also been paid to the sailing equipment. The sails were renewed in 2025 and the rigging was replaced in 2024 by Enjoy Yachtservice in Zierikzee. The ship features a furling mainsail, a furling genoa with UV protection, four Lewmar self-tailing winches, and an electric anchor winch.
